Hande Şar Sancakli got her at Faculty of Dentistry , Istanbul University, Turkey in 2000, and was awarded her PhD at same university in 2007 with the doctoral thesis entitled “Comparison of antibacterial effects of dentin bonding agents in vitro”. She pursued her academic career in the same university which gained her an Associate Professorship degree in 2012. With the academic co-operation of Prof. Dr. David Bartlett, she worked as a Visiting Lecturer in King’s College Dental Institute, Guy’s Hospital, London, UK. 

Beside having scientific publications in internationally/nationally indexed journals, book chapters, she lectured in various international conferences, seminars and performed hands-on courses in restorative dentistry about adhesive dentistry, minimal invasive dentistry and restorative materials. She is a member of various international scientific associations; a member of the Board of the Istanbul University, member of Turkish Dental Association International Affairs Commitee, chairperson of ERO/FDI Working Group Continuing Medical Education and currently the FDI Regional Continuing Education Director of Europe. 

Research interests: (1) restorative dentistry, (2) adhesive dentistry, (3) minimal invasive dentistry, (4) restorative materials.
